India is rich and diverse in textiles. Up north, we have the famous Benarasi Brocades which originally were woven with real gold threads. In West, We have a Patan Patola which is the rare double Ikat weaving. It can take 6-10 months to weave one 6mtr saree. Towards the east we have woven textiles which are rich in geometric patterns. And south India is admired for fine muslins and silk.
As a continuation to this tradition. I planned to introduce a little weaving to our home. So here is our Chair Loom. Since the chair sections are big, M could easily make interlacing between them. For the fill or weft, we used variety of yarns which I have stashed over the years.
It seemed to work as a start.
